In the murky depths of Lake Travis, I find tranquility. I hear only my breath, muted by the water and distorted by my regulator. Occaisionally, a boat whizzes by above, bzzzzzz, oblivious to the world below.

It is July in Texas, a mere 106º topside. I’m cool beneath the water, floating, searching for a new adventure. Every time I dive, I learn something new about myself and about my skills.
